Eternal Tale Intro

"Very good"

submission: Eternal Tale Intro
date: July 15, 2009

I like that the song is upbeet and fast-paced, and your animation matches it.

It's just like many anime; the mood of the song is in stark contrast to the epic-ness of your story.

It introduces the characters very well, and gives some kind of explanation as to their personalities as well. This is a good video.

I look forward to any 'chatper 1' or some such animation, in the same style.

I know this was probably a great deal of frames, but I feel I should let you know, Flash has a "line smooth" feature, which could give your characters a slightly more professional look. But, as it is, the look they have is nearly perfect, if not perfect.

Author's Response:

Ah! The lines sucked! If i'dve just used the brush tool rather than the pen tool right from the start, it would've been finished much quicker, and probably to a better looking standard. So yeah. Next animation, brush tool all the way.

Megaman X RPG: Chapter 1

"Beta-Tester Issues"

date: July 1, 2009

Your game is extremely well developed, especially for a Fan-based RPG (non-corporate)

However, I have some issues with the gameplay itself.

First, some general tips for your controls, based on previous experience of your players.
1) The backspace key as both the [menu] key and the [cancel] key makes it feel clunky. I [capital i] would be a good choice, especially from a hard-core gamer perspective.
2) In combat, if there is an ability/technique which targets all opponents, you can only see the [enemy a]'s hp-bar, even after scanning.
3) After selecting the option in battle, and the target of that option, there is a third, (and I'm assuming intended) 'confirmation' selection which takes place, but there is no indication as to its purpose. I suggest either removal or the word "Confirm" being displayed in the next installment.
4) The limit gauge is hard to read. The time gauge covers it when you're using the that character, and unexpected limits can be irritating at times.
5) The ability to switch between characters is now limited to 'decreasing the current character's time gauge', thus making one pay a serious penalty every time they wish to change to another character. This is an 'on the fence' issue; both good and bad.

Don't get me wrong; your game is awesome. I've been playing it for days. But its just an inch short of polished and professional. So, I thought I'd share my experience, and try to help out.

Jinx Hentai Parody

"Jinx Wins"

I rather like that you continue to make hentai of this series, even into the later years after the series has stopped being on the air. The characters are so dynamic, and there's no shortage of places where sex could be inserted.

In any case, I have one thing to say on this: Keep 'em comin'! Please continue this 'series' of 5-10 minute videos: I rather like their humor, as well as their erotic content.

Metroid: Rogue Formula

"Graphics"

date: May 3, 2009

The motion and action are very nice. However, the actual look of the sprites when zoomed in that much makes Samus look like a blob of squares.

Anywho; good job. I wish I could see some form of "Epic" story with Metroid.

Tankmen: Incursion

"Bad Camera"

submission: Tankmen: Incursion
date: May 2, 2009

The gameplay is intense and awesome, however the camera is CONSTANTLY moving, and therefore it sets my movement skills off balance. This is a true impedement to the game. If the camera were attached to the player alone, that would be fine.
But its not. Its attached to all of the enemies. This makes the camera move in an unstable way, constantly zooming in and out. Maybe if you stuck with a simple zoom in/out feature controllable by the player?

It's great to see all of the enemies, and the graphics are pretty, but perhaps enemies which knew shooting at you from behind the ground would NOT work would be helpful.

Also, if THEY themselves couldn't move through the ground, that might be helpful too.

Your main problem is your camera. Its not that I DONT want to see all of the enemies, but I'd really like to see the ones I can fight, and not many else.

Sonic and Mario ep: 1

"Meh"

date: April 14, 2009

good start, but since you're already doing it an 'video game" sprite style, why don't you go ahead and make "scrolling text" as well? I feel it would give more flow to the story.

You could also do some kind of background music to set the mood. sound effects are good. I think this series could go places if you trim it up a little bit.

Castle Prologue

"Awsome + Spectacular = AweTacular"

submission: Castle Prologue
date: April 13, 2009

This video along with the story prove, that in the absence of super cool special effects, wildly overpaid actors, vast amounts of money, and arrogance, there can arise a story so powerful that it can create its own genre.

I really like the story; however, you should not have had to do this prologue. And seriously; why does he shoot him? (trying to be vague). One person stated "...You should have thought this story through..."

I disagree with them. You obviously thought it through perfectly. However, after the four "Repercussions" episodes, I would very much like to know what happened to Etrius, or possibly even better, what happened to the Ancients themselves, and how the evils were created.

Comments on graphics: i applaud your use of 3D in this piece, but in some instances, its not used to its full potential: Think "Zoom Out" on a massive scale say, from face-close up all the way to landscape. This is a suggestion which I know will not only help you, but should propel your work to a whole 'nother level. (Yes, I know its simple, but its still powerful) But its only a suggestion; take it or leave it.

Geek note: I think it would be cool if Etrius had the sword from this prologue. those other swords tend to break on him apparently.
